Specialist support and advocacy work

The Men Standing Up Service provide support to our service users to enable them to be supported through legal and court processes. We have a dedicated IDVA worker who will:

• Support you with getting the right solicitor and applying for legal aid.

• Case preparation and evidence gathering

• Attend court and support you through the whole legal process. Providing emotional support.

• Support getting non-molestation orders, injunctions and stay order.

• Support accessing child contact, liaising with social services and CaffCass services.

• Support around dual allegations.

• Reporting the abuse to the police and authorities.

• Act as a responsible adult.

We can work with clients and their partners. If a partner was female we could signpost them to other specialist agencies. If the partner was male we could offer them support based on risk information. We would assess every situation individually.
